E Reng's influence to music can be seen all around him, from the cats on synthesizers tees that he wears to the many anime and bionicles figurines around his room that he mentioned inspired him with soundtracks and music that he hears when he sees media about it online or on tv.

E Reng is currently an English literature student doing his degree. He spends his free time making electronic music which he posts on his youtube page Falling Islands.
He mentions he is conflicted about what masculinity is, questioning the teachings of masculinity. He is unsure if masculinity is the insular view of what was taught to him, later stating that he could not relate to these teachings because it was disingenuous to who he felt he was.
E Reng notes how his personality and characteristics are not from his semblance of maleness because these are traits that anyone else, regardless of gender, could embody as well.
"As someone who went through about 10 years of boys school education, you are sort of prescribed with a pretty insular view of what being a man or being a male should be. There are a lot of implicit codes taught to us from a young age about 'being a man regarding repressing emotions and to don't cry when sad things happen. It's only through growing up and being exposed to these alternative views and perspectives that these 'original' masculinities can be reconfigured."
