Justin is currently a student at Lasalle’s Creative Direction for Fashion diploma course. He is also a freelance stylist during his free time. In addition to his interest in fashion, he rides his bicycle during his free time to get away from the pressures and stress of his fashion work.
Justin believes in a version of masculinity and gender expression that’s seen in an equal light, straying away from a patriarchal dominance that’s common in current social mindsets.
“It’s not like masculinity has a dominance above femininity. I think the reason why society views men wearing skirts in a very weak, like they will stare at you weirdly is because they see masculinity as something that is on top of femininity, hence if a male wear skirt right. It feels like you’re downgrading yourself to feminine traits or like feminine attires.”
